FFECC hosts legislative breakfast at NYSUT

The FFECC welcomed several Erie county legislators and staff from NY Assembly and Senate members on March 28th. We were also joined by Jeffrey Stone, SUNY Erie Board of Trustees Chair.

Four students were able to share their specific experiences: Crystal Robinson-Hicks, John Asibor, Jacquelyn Archie & Ian Stover.

As part of the NYSUT priorities for community colleges for the upcoming 2023-2024 New York State Budget we ask you to include the following:

- 100% of 2019-2020 funding floor for campuses struggling with enrollment issues

- $350 increase in FTE (full time equivalent) from the current level of $2,997 per FTE in base aid funding

- This increase would benefit community colleges that increase enrollment above the proposed funding floor
