Higher Ed lobby day 2020

On February 4, 2020, FFECC members and SUNY ERIE students traveled to Albany to meet with State Senators and Assembly members to discuss funding and the future of SUNY ERIE. Students shared their personal stories with the legislators and the need for more higher education funding. This year with our “SUNY ERIE students deserve” campaign we are not only advocating for the hybrid funding model but a $250 per FTE increase. Much of our discussion centered around over 30 years of college infrastructure neglect as well as the need for both capital improvement and a plan to deal with declining enrollment.
